Default my '09's front windsheld molding is loose

this is a Lexus CPO vehicle, carfax history all clean, no front windshield replacement has mentioned in any of the reports. so i guess just the quality issue then. i had the dealer replaced the roof drip molding just two weeks ago, that was falling apart too. anyone else had similar issues on their IS?

for me the problem area is where the windshield side molding meets the roof dripping strip. i can easily pull the edge out of the windshield molding. needless to say, a dealer visit on Monday is in order.

If it is the black molding piece on the sides of the windshield that run from the roof drip rail down to the rubber piece at the hood, than this is your TSB! I'm sure they will replace them.

If it peels off easy than the clips are broke and they need to be replaced as well. It's very difficult to remove these pieces without breaking the clips. If the rubber at the bottom down by the hood is not cracked and faded, they might just replace the clips and put them back on.

So is there any TSB info I can take in to get this replaced under my CPO warranty?

Sure You can take it, but if you don't have a warranty, it won't be covered. It's NOT a recall, just a TSB.

This will help you get the right parts to fix it yourself.
