Default H.I.D lighting pattern on road not correct?

Hello all..

ive recently purchased some H.I.D lights (6k) but pattern on the road is not correct..like traingle shapes on the road and a few 'black spots' where no lights is visible on the road too..??

do i need to upgrade projectors? or should it be normal plug and play and off you go??

im quite new to the car, so bear with my lack of knowledge..

Did you attempt to adjust the vertical and horizontal height? If not properly adjusted, your beam pattern will become out of whack.

I'd think that maybe the bulb is the wrong type and/or it is sitting in the headlight slightly off. Putting HID kit into a halogen projector isn't the best beam, but you shouldn't have any weird shapes or odd dark spots.

Yeah, what the above two posters said... Make sure it was installed/centered correctly in the bulb holder.

Best one i have, hard to see what I am talking about. But for some the rod is there.. I made sure the rod is facing the rear as well.

rear but at an angle toward the bottom ..you can tell by the square notch on the bulb and on the headlight toward the bottom.....don't know why they make it so hard just to change out bulb LoL...just change mine to 6k last week took me almost 2 hour just twisting and turning the bulb around and around
