do the newer sc's come with hid's?? cause i found a hid kit, ballasts, bulbs and all for 495 and was thinking of buying them, but was afraid my older housing '92 can't handle the heat and would melt or something. anyone know if they will be ok??

9006 projector beam housings are the best housing to retrofit HID's in. The heat is usually less than a standard bulb so you shouldn't have any problems. Do note that the lighting element is considerably longer than a standard bulb.
