Default '08 IS350 recall question

I brought my '08 IS350 to the dealership this morning to get an alignment. 30 minutes later I end up walking out of there with a loaner for the week. They indicated my car has a service recall where the valve springs need to be replaced? WTF?! This is the first I've heard about valve springs; I heard about the cam gear TSB but nothing else major. I'm not really complaining but something smelled fishy about it; can anyone confirm that there's really a valve spring replacement recall?

Yeah, sorry about that. I normally google this stuff before posting but I was so surprised, I temporally lost my wits. Now I know why I've had random low idle at stop lights the last few months.

How many miles do you have on your car? Might be worthwhile having them change the spark plugs while they're at it. Scheduled for 60k miles but you may do it sooner to save a ton on labor. Should only have to pay for the plugs and then minimal additional labor as they are already taking the same area apart for the recall.

Great call. OP - this could save you $500+. I had my spark plugs changed at the same time as the fuel pressure sensor recall, and they only charged me a half hour's labor to do it ($57) vs. 4-5 hours labor ($500-600). I bought the plugs on Sewell for $13 each.
