USB wasn't standard until 2010.

Some older models could get a lexus-resold ipod kit installed by the dealership though, but it locked you out of using XM radio

He hack the wires from behind the unit, you need wiring diagram for headunit and find input video wire.

Also u need one resistor and control switch, to change between headunit ac/radio/nav/ from ipod integration.

Maybe i will do it when summer comes, but u will not able to control your ipod from headunit only volume will be working
... Anything else you should do it thru your ipod/iphone.

Sorry, I'm not on here as frequently as before so unable to answer questions as fast. That video is mine basically the way my mod works is simple. I now have an iPhone 4S and this system is still working for me.

The setup involves installing an AV unit for the Lexus IS250 which provides me with the facility to add DVB and 2 additional RCA auxillary inputs. It also allowed me to wire-up headrest monitors to the factory DVD system. Once this was complete, I made a simple iPhone/iPod dock that was hard-wired directly to one of the RCA input sources. You can find more information on how I built the dock on the following thread

And finally, to actually enable mirroring I JailBroke my phone and installed a free software called TVOut2. It's an amazing piece of software and the latest version is very good.

Hope that helps.
