Default AP2 S2K Pic Request

Hey guys, anyone have a picture of what the inside of their AP2 tips look like installed? I'm trying to get a good idea of how far the muffler pipe actually slides into the tip.

I have mine installed already, and the top of the muffler pipe is hitting the back of the AP2 tip (as I think it should) however there is still a gap between the bottom of the tip and the pipe because the muffler pipe is angled.

Is that normal? Just seems like the tips stick out a bit too far when you look from the sides or at an angle.

It will stick out a lot unless you trim down the muffler tip. The muffler tip is originally cut at an angle so the 2k tip won't flush unless you trim it down.

Yep, I believe mine looks just like that too. The gap shouldn't be visible from a distance (mine isn't at least).

I only see gap when I'm like 3 feet away and really looking at it.

I guess the other question is, does that last picture look like the tip sticks out too far with the gfx? I have PM'd a couple of members and have heard that people use a mallet to hammer them in farther than I have them. Another guy said he had his stock pipes cut down.

I'm seriously thinking about cutting the angle off of the muffler pipes (making them flat) to give me some freedom with how far I can place them in and out. Any last advice is appreciated.

Mines a 2011, in reference to the last post.

I just got my tail pipes cut off by 2" so the ap2 tips can sit flush against the muffler and stick out less. I have stock lip so more it looks much better. There is that gap that you have on mine too.

I'll take a picture of how far mine stick out (i used a rubber mallet too) but after a certain point, the AP2 tips won't go in any further at all anyways.
You'd have to cut the stock exhaust, which I wasn't about to do lol
