Default Adding Steering Wheel Buttons

my IS is a 2009 without navi so it doesn't come with the call buttons on the steering wheel.

i am wondering if i get the fly audio navi .. can i just get the steering wheel controls + the circuit board off from a 2010 stick it in my steering wheel and it will work on the fly audio navigation to pick up and hang up calls ?

I saw you ask this in the Fly Audio thread. I have a Fly Audio and I don't think this will work. My volume buttons work, but I don't think the installation of the buttons will work with it.

but for people that have OEM navigation or 2010 models are their phone buttons not functional then?

hmmmm, I'm not sure. I see what you're saying. You should ask the seller of Fly Audio units if this may work. It'll be expensive don't you think?

It most likely will not work. If you find the installation diagram from Flyaudio (it is also printed on top of the Flyaudio unit) there is no Phone option for the steering wheel controls.
Also, remember Flyaudio doesn't support speech recognition. So, even if the steering wheel phone button works, it will save you one click or touch of the screen. I don't find the phone steering wheel option would be a big deal.

i dont think it works since people with nav arent moving to fly audio...its easier and cheaper to just integrate the media linq plus and deal with the navigation.

2010+ all have phone controls on the steering wheel, so someone with a 2010-12 without Nav that has added Fly Audio is the only person that could answer this question.
