Default Scratch in Plastic

There are some light scratches on the glove box area and around the inside plastic door sills on my 08 IS250 black interior. A pic is attached.

I noticed on some other threads that I searched, they recommend using Meguiar's Scratch X. This seemed to leave a white residue on my plastic, and didn't do the job.

Any recommendations? These aren't deep scratches, and I would love to hide them somehow.

Thanks!

I've never really found a solution. I just use meguiars interior detailer/cleaner on them and makes it less noticeable.

i had the same problem... the scratch fades in after awhile. Use the interior wipes to make it glossy. Other than that... i think that scratch is there for life.

if the scratches are in the black plastic, you can use the black shoe polish stuff to take it/blend it in.

Does it make it shiney though? That would be my concern.

Won't it stain your clothes?

for the scratches on black textured plastic, best I can do is hiding them by using interior cleaner or revitalizer spray and buff well.

Scratches are more noticeable on the door step seals. I just use the same conditioner I use for my leather on to these plastics. It has worked well. Scratches are hidden by the mosture applied in them, but when mosture dries out, scratches return. Keep scratches mostured and scratches won't be as noticable.

Plastics are made of recycled materials which in my opinion, makes it more prone to scratches?

haha.. don't try what I do with the sharpie.. you can totally see the marker. But it's better than a scratch IMO.
after a while you'll just give up and let it be. this car is by far the most easily scratch car I owned.
