2007 IS250 Vibration, etc?
I looked at a few threads on this particular issue. I recently purchased a 2007 IS250 AWD with 60k miles on the clock. I've had this car for about a week now, and I haven't really messed around with the buttons such as traction control etc. Earlier today, when I got off the high way and came to a stop light. I was stopped, and noticed a slight vibration, weird idling as if the car was about to stall, lights and stuff came on. There were a bunch of traffic and I was nervous as I didn't know what to do. It felt as if the car couldn't accelerate the way it was supposed to do. I just put on my emergency lights and pulled over and pressed random buttons like the traction control but it didn't help. I just turned off my engine and turned it back on and everything went away.
According to the other treads, it's most likely a carbon build up issue.
People say to do sea foam, get the engine cleaned up, and used synthetic oil. I recently got a oil change done, and had a "regular" oil change. I also use premium gasoline at QT which is 91 or 93 I believe.
Anyways, how would I prevent this problem? I know it will not permanently go away, but will go away for about 40k miles before it happens again?
How much is the cost? What needs to be done? How often should I do it? Any other tips?? Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I will have to check tomorrow. Also, if I do happen to be out of warranty, would a engine clean or BG 44K help??
I've read through this whole thread and still don't know what works best..

There is a service bulletin for this. Being an ex lexus tech these are very common. Depending on what your check engine light is; it is more than likely misfire codes, which in turn originally was carbon build up Lexus ha a remedy of a carbon blast of a solution sucked in through vacuum lines, that worked for a short period of time....moved on to replacing valve springs in the head, and now like he said above piston work. Take it in; it should be covered and is a very common known issue. We used to have a 2006 is250 awd that had every known problem known to man and eventually got rid of it. Everything from dash rattles to leaking water pump, cam gear chatter, carbon build up grrrrrr. Loving the F though
