Default Engine Rattle

Ok now i know that their is a service bulletin about this on lexus is250 vehicles now my vehicle is having this issue. Its not burning oil but it is loosing oil but not at a fast rate at least that i can tell. So i know out of pocket I will be spending some $$$ on this repair. So a couple of questions here: my lexus is a 2007 is250 with 130k miles is their a way for me to get some kind of warranty that is somewhat worthwhile for my lexus or would it be more beneficial for me to just bite the bullet and just trade the lexus in and get a different vehicle (Most likely another lexus)

Loosing oil means it burns ! there is no warranty like that if you trade in you'll loose $$$$, i think you should live with it, old cars are like that they will never be perfect, you probably notice loosing oil after 2k miles from the day you do oil change, just refill and drive . my is250 is the same as yours lol i refill and go.

Toyota Lexus has weak Ring And Valve, the reason why i recommend those are driving high mileage car to use 10-30W engine oil instead of 0-30W 5-20W or 5-30W from factory recommendation, lot of drivers don't understand the structure of an Engine especially Toyota Lexus, i would say 90% of Toyota are like this, don't worry start to put 10-30W Synthetic Mobile 1" in and you won't regret.

Not a big deal man. If you look in the manual it says its normal for the car to consume a quart every 2000 miles or so. Mine started doing it at 50k. I just check it often and top off as needed. Same thing happened to my VW and I put on 160k on it before I sold it.

Ok I stay in St. Louis would it be wise to use the 10-30w oil in my climate or so. Im not that car savvy when it comes to oil. What should i do about the engine rattle?

Winter use as dealer recommends, summer use 10-30W, i'm from Toronto Canada a very cold country i use 10-30W all year round, when i use 5-30W the engine rattle and noise when accel. and noise at cold start up (morning) Lexus said use 0-30 or 5-20 to reduce noise and i don't believe that.

i'm currently doing a test with Castro Edge Synthetic because somebody said it stops the rattle noise for IS250 as i know is250 engine designed with Camshaft valve and piston ring failures just wanna try if i can overcome the issue. Rattle noise from our IS250 cannot be fixed it how they designed , the piston slap is so pronounced, my car tap tap tap noise under accel. sound like pap pap pap pap it's gone at high speed and high gear. Nothing we can do bro unless you're willing rebuild your engine.

My friend has an Acura and did his test with Mobile 1 , he said Castro edge is good but it's not as good as Mobile 1 don't waste time, well i like to test out myself.
