Frozen Navigation Screen Fix DIY
I'm experiencing a similar issue and would like some insight. My screen is not frozen, rather, anywhere I press (while on the map) will move the map south. On the other menus (climate, radio, destination, etc) I would not get a response. Has anyone experience something similar?
I did one change six months ago and that was swapping out the navigation DVD for a burned copy of a newer navigation DVD. It has worked flawlessly. Maybe this is culprit? Since I need to go into the menu and find the eject button, I can't swap the original in easily. Meanwhile, I'll look for a bypass and try to load the original DVD in.

On another note, I have the tools for DIY repair for sale, unused. I was going to attempt the DIY until I remember I bought aftermarket warranty. I'll put it up soon in the market place.

I re-read all 28 pages last night and didn't find the info I'm looking for regarding the resistance.
I was wondering if someone can advise me before I assemble everything back together.
Before fix
Pin 1, 3 = No reading
Pin 2, 4 = No reading
First attempt
Pin 1, 3 = 1520 ohms
Pin 2, 4 = No reading
Second attempt
Pin 1, 3 = 1130 ohms
Pin 2, 4 = 520 ohms
Third attempt (redoing pin 1 and 3)
Pin 1, 3 = 1130 ohms
Pin 2, 4 = 520 ohms
Actually redid 1 and 3 a number of times and the reading is not increasing. I was hoping to see 1520 again. Did anyone's navigation with less than 1500 ohms on pin 1 and 3 after the fix to be working properly?

I read a lot of posts about frozen navigation screens with climate and radio controls no longer functioning. Has anyone had any experience with the radio functions and climate control functions not working on their NON-navigation head unit? I have a NON-navigation head unit on my 07 IS250 and nothing on the head unit works but the hazard button and the clock. everything else is unresponsive. I bought a replacement for the bottom half of the head unit (CD changer and radio) but still no luck with any responsive buttons. I don't want to shell out a ton of money and replacing the entire head unit when maybe that isn't even the problem. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

ARHHHHHHHH my 07 is350 just hit 100,000 miles yesterday and what a coincidence, my entire navigation Headunit is unresponsive nowwwwwww........anybody know where i can purchase everything? And a complete list on what i need please?

Wow thanks man! I live about 30 minutes from that address! I'll give him a call on Monday and see how it goes! I really want to attempt to fix it myself but scared to damage the ribbon.

I just replaced the nav screen on my 2007 IS 250. It works great, but makes the screen look like a halo gram. Is this the rainbow affect some are talking about?
I paid $79.00 for it from German Audio Tech. Do all the replacement screens look like this?

I just replaced the digitizer. I didn't look at the brand of the screen. The replacement digitizer is suposed to be a toshiba.

I hope guys are still following this thread. I was wondering from the guys that bought the bay screens, what model number was the screen and what seller did you use if you can remember or find it? also was the quality good? I saw a post where someone bought an eBay screen and they said it looked yellow. Have an 2007 is250 for the model number.
