You sound like a nice guy but I think you are way over yor head when it comes to finances. I suggest you stop thinking about spending money on cars (fun stuff, but all of them are money pits) and take a class in finance. If all you do is focus on payments you will always be making payments. I think this thread has gone way off topic and should be closed down. The thread is beyond changing an engine. Finances took over.

bump. I have a 2007 is250awd and I have a friend selling a swap for the is350 rwd for cheap. what all would I need to complete swap? two options.. keeping awd or switch to rwd. and go

Is the IS350 damaged or does he just have the engine or something? Easier to buy the whole car from him, haha.

How set are you on keeping the AWD? There are complications with doing either setup. Does he have the transmission too?

car is damaged. and yes he has the trans and rear diff. all packege prices for me
