Exclamation mis-aligned panels :(

Hey guys,
I discovered today, after driving over a f***ing CHASM of a poithole that the front drivers side panel has lifted where it meets and runs along the headlight housing which results in the narrow part that terminates into the from bumper panel is mis-aligned enough to where I have to pull the hood release to make it flush with the hood.

It's not bad enough that its noticable from a distance or even up close if you're not looking for it but I know it's there and it's driving me crazy. I can put up some pics if you guys want but even in the ones I took it's hard to notice at all.

So I'm wondering if there's anything I can do? Has this happened to anyone before? Ideas on a fix? I don't think It's a bent frame or anything, I didn't hit THAT hard but it was a pretty jarring bump. Any help out there?

If you hit a pothole hard enough to cause the frame damage ,other parts such as wheel, control arm and shock absorber should have been damaged before it reached the frame.

Have you checked your wheel, control arm and shock after the incident?

I had an econobox with same damage going over a pothole. No damage to the wheel though.

After checking my suspension, wheels, etc. the only other damage seems to be a small chip in the wheel which I'm not entirely certain wasn't already there. That's the reason I'm not sure what to do about this. If the damage was to the suspension or frame I'd know what to do for a fix. But this just seems like the body panel somehow came up on its own. Downright confusing if you ask me.

Before its too late get a picture of the pothole. If it is part of a roadway that the NCDOT is supposed to maintain you might have a case. Lawyer up?!

Ok, if i get you right, then it might not be a frame damage.

May be the underside of your bumper was hit/pushed by the pothole then it was pushed against the fender?

Ok so here's a pic of the panels, it's not that obvious when you just LOOk at the car but if you get close...

and, to make matters worse, I was checking out my wheels again today and I found a crack...after gently pulling at the edge of the crack....

So now I'm super bummed. any ideas on the panel? and, more importantly anyone have a rim they wanna sell?
