I replaced both bulbs in April because the driver's side was going out. It's only been 6 months and the passenger side one is chaunching out now. I'm going to try them one more time, but I am not impressed. Has anyone else had this experience? How long are you guys getting out of aftermarket bulbs and what brand?

I'm using Garax 8k and just recently had to replace a new set, the old ones lasted me for about 1.5yrs or so. Not sure why you're having problems, mine have been fine.

Had my Garax D4S bulbs installed for 1.5+ years, no problems or noticeable colorshifting.

The general consensus is that they are good bulbs. I have had mine for about 8 months now.

However, if I were you, I would just try a different bulb brand. There's a lot of brands out there and few chances to ever try them. And bulbs aren't so costly that if you regret your decision you can't go back

Damn, i hope i don't have any issues with mine. I just put mine in the other day too lol. But if you touched the actual bulb part, that's probably why they didn't last so long.

No problems with my Garax 6000k either. Had them for almost a year now, and they work fine. They are better built than some other D4S bulbs I have seen and installed. Since your Garax gave up, why not give the Phillips Ultinon D4S a try. Nigel dropped price by a lot, although still expensive but good time to pick up some legit bulbs. I ordered a set from Xenon Depot before Nigel dropped his price, they are still in the mail on the way to me. I'm only switching because I want to see better at night without the stock hid bulbs.

lol, rest assured I didn't touch the bulb. When it stays lit, the color is right but it dims out and eventually shuts off. I ordered another set of Garax 6000k because I really like the color on my car, but if I can't get over a year out of these I'm going to try something else. At $80 though, it's hard to beat.

Thanks AUTO Design, how does the color of your 6000k bulbs look as compared to the Garax 6000k bulbs? The color of the Garax bulbs looks fantastic on my Starfire Pearl car. If this next pair doesn't last any longer I'll certainly be looking for something else.

Go, Philips Ultinon 6000K, you get better color and output.

Philips bulbs are probably the best you can get on the market in terms of color, output and reliability. But they aren't cheap, you'd be really upset if one of those bulbs died on you lol
