Cool Real Men Drive Manuals

I have been trying to buy a new 2011 or 2012 IS250 with a manual transmission for the last 3 months. The Lexus dealers can't tell me when they will be making them. Does anyone have information on how to, of if you can get one. I may have to give up an buy a manual BMW or Infinity.

I have a manual with the F Sport short shifter. Don't expect it to be smooth. I hear it's a modified Tacoma transmission. If you're set on it then good luck. The 350 is much quicker though.

The 250 seems like it would be a much better driving experience with a manual. I wish my '06 had a manual. I miss banging through the gears on my Bimmer, it would be nice to have the same experience in the IS even though it's slow.

Manual transmissions are old technology. Having said that, good luck finding one and if not get an Infiniti (You wont regret it).

For reals? that's a bold title, and I guess you need a materialistic thing to judge your manhood. LoL talk about low self esteem.

Anyways, do your research about the 250 manual transmission. if you're planning to try to shift quick and speedy, a 350 will out run you all day everyday...heck I've heard even a Rav4 will out run you. It's a luxury car, not a rally race driver.

Guys, let's keep this thread polite and mature please. If Bignose wants a stick shift that's his preference like many others.

Old tech yes, but they're still fun to drive. A car with a ton of power and manual transmission is so much fun to drive. An auto is just so boring sometimes.

Welcome to CL. That makes me wonder, did the 250 Fsport come in manual?
