Just wanted to know what the outcome would be for this since Im gonna be going head to head with one next week. (closed place, not highway or anything stupid) my friend keeps saying that Im gonna get smoked but i heard they were alot heavier. Anybody raced one before? i searched on YouTube and only one popped up and it showed the is350 losing. :-( we are gonna be doing a couple runs, full stop, 40 roll etc. Just wanna get an idea of what's gonna happen. I have an 08 is350 with intake and exhaust and his g37s (automatic) has the same.

 

I'm assuming with equal driver? You will pull on him from dig and the 40 roll. Around 80-100 or so, he'll start pulling ahead.

 

i had a g37s your going to get it. that car sucks in 3rd^so not so true and the car is a stare in 1st and 2nd best of luck but i really think your going to lose its a 3.7l vs a 3.5l looks like he has the upper hand

Raced my friends modded G37s.

 

^really dont think so my g37s was fast off the line and i have beat lots of is350s off the line modded and stock
maybe your friend cant drive haha or maybe i just was lucky.

That wasn't my intention, and i wasn't the one who challenged to race. He has been trying to go against me for a while now so i was like what the heck, might as well do it and shut him up for good. Was just wondering if someone else has already raced one just to see what the outcome would be.

Haha, not exactly sure what day its gonna be next week, but sure. Lol I'll also be sure to post the outcome, even though by the look of things there is a big chance Im gonna lose....:-( oh well, at least he won't bother me with it again.

 

Pretty sure you got lucky since me and my friend went at it at least 10 different times. We even swapped drivers and the IS350 would take the G37s every time from 0. It was a different story on a roll. He has intake and exhaust.

You can just look at dragtimes of G37s. They range from 13.7-14.2 seconds (non boosted)

Whereas, IS350 ranges from 12.8-14 seconds...

 

yea i can see with the times you put up a good point. i had alot more mods on my g37s so most the time the is350 only had exhaust so who knows maybe cuz i had more aftermarket parts but never stock vs stock .
we will see when he post the after but from the times you can see it will be close

 

dang, i didn't know g37's were that bad from 0... *note to self* when racing other cars, go from a dig, refuse from a roll.

 

^ note to you DONT RACE if your not at a track. i got ****** street racing and its not worth the win
