ok this might be obvious, but are you only turning the bolt? Or are you holding one side with another socket/wrench to prevent the nut from spinning the same direction as the bolt....

if that's not the case, just use the fattest and largest piece of pipe and have the strongest person slowly turn it while the other person holds the nut side with the socket/wrench

page 3 of the install instructions has a note to turn to the bolt while holding the nut. http://is.sewellparts.com/pdf/PTR0753080.pdf Are you sure you werent trying loosen the nut. Sorry its being such a pain for you. I didnt have a single problem loosening any of the bolts.

all my suggestion were said by everyone else prior to my reply. i was just trying to add a little humor but you took it the wrong way. so again im sorry
