Default HID issue...?

I have a 2010 Lexus is350. About four months ago I have recplaced my HID bulb to a brighter 6000K with aftermarket bulbs, tonight for the first time my driver's side HID will go off and I will have to turn my lights off and then back on in order for it to come on and after I drove it another 10 minutes it would go off again....anyone have experience this issue?

Sounds like a bad ballast, but can't rule out the bulbs either. Switch the driver and passenger sides, and observe what happens. If it's still the driver side going out, then the ballast is most likely bad, if it changed to passenger side, then it's the bulb obviously.

Sounds like you're still under warranty anyhow. If it's indeed the ballast, then put back your stock bulbs and bring it to the dealership.

cant believe somebody else has this problem too...i took the car to lexus of queens because after i bought the car i noticed some loose parts inside the headlight...the replaced both actual headlamps then all of a sudden my driver side started turning off by itself ...i would have to reset it all the time to make sure its on....then i took it to lexus of Manhattan and then said they found loose wiring on the bulb....they fixed the wires and swapped bulbs from left to right....they said it SHOULD be okay but if its not....the light will go off on the passenger side now....now its going OFF ON THE PASSENGER SIDE!!! LMAO i just got off the phone with lex of Manhattan...they are taking my car in tomorrow to replace it...even tho i have the platinum warranty...u still get crap service.

so....i just dropped it off at lexus of manhattan and they said they will just replace the bulb on the right side since it seems to be faulty....i told him whenever i try to leave it on expecting it to turn off...it stays on...wen im on the highway not even thinking about it...it turns off....the light has a mind of its own.....plus he is fixing the passenger side puddle lamp...the bulb seems to be loose...

i think u should swap bulbs only from left to right and see if the problem switches sides...if it does then its the bulb...if its still the driver side...u know its the ballast

Thanks for the update. I already flip side seems to do ok right now. It may have to do with the connection. Still keep an eye on it. Good luck with yours.
