Default Dealer fail

I was supposed to get my BC Racing coils installed yesturday with Tommy and found out that lexus gave me the wrong keys to my wheel locks. First time using the keys that dealer installed when I bought the car new. What a waste of time driving around.

Sounds like an honest mistake to me. Good thing you didn't have a flat on the highway...

I usually check this ish when I take delivery - but I'm not a wheel lock fan anyway. They don't even slow down a determined thief and they're not permitted for track days.

I took my locks off and put regular lug nuts on my car when I got it.

Sounds like they made a mistake, sucks but that's all there is to it. Hopefully they got it sorted out for you.

What was the point of this thread, exactly?

Jeff

Yea it's been over a year and I'm lucky to not have gotten a flat during that time. Just venting out.

Honest mistake, I'm sure the dealer will fix the issue once you explain it to them.

It's been over a year? Good luck proving they gave you the wrong key, but I hope you get it straightened out!

When I bought the car they had aftermarket rims on it so I told them them to take it off and put the stock ones back on. maybe they took the rims from another car and forgot to swap out the keys in the trunk.
