Default Hazard Lights won't flash with Remote Lock

Has anyone ever had an issue where the car won't flash the hazard lights when they lock the car with the remote? The doors DO lock but the lights don't flash. However they do flash when I unlock the car.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Maybe needs to be confirmed with other members, but I do believe this is something which could be adjusted with LPS setting with Techstream. Have the dealership look at it.

^ I believe for LPS they either flash for both lock/unlock or don't flash at all - in OP's situation, the hazards flash when he unlocks the car but does not flash when he locks the car.

OP are you covered by extended warranty by any chance?

Did this just happen? It could be related to some of your lighting mods.

I had this problem on my GS430 when I first got it. The car would flash to unlock but not to lock (even though I heard the doors locking). Went to a buddy at the local dealership to see if I could get the LPS adjusted. First thing he did was walk around the car and try to open the doors one by one after I "locked" the car. He got to my passenger side rear door and it opened. Ended up being a dead lock aculator. Once the door was fixed and actually locking again the lock flash occured like normal.

So check to make sure all your door locks are working correctly before you do anything else.

^^ oh and after re-reading your post it appears you have a 2006 IS which means this is even more likely to be the case.

Thanks Nixx621. I'll take a look. I hope the actuator isn't too expensive :-P
