I tried putting in LEDs on my '07 but was disappointed to find it is a "whole assembly". It's not a light bulb but one of those lights made by Lexus not found anywhere else like in the glovebox, footwells, etc. It's probably the same for '11 models.

As I understand it, yes it is an entire LED-assembly now.
If you want more light, then you would have to buy an external LED-strip & run power to that from the existing assembly.
If its just color you want, maybe tint the lens...

As others are saying, it's a proprietary assembly. Since it's already LED, most people don't care to mod it, but if you really wanted to you could probably crack the assembly open and solder on a different LED. There is no plug and play solution though.
