Default Upgrading audio

I'm looking to upgrade my audio system..for my is

I'm not looking for the massive bass or anything load, I want something clean and crisp..( like the ML ) swap out all the interior speaker and a small 8-10in sub..

Can I do this for around $2k.. Does that sound reasonable??

I recently replaced my mids and highs in my non ML IS. I went with Hertz Hi Energy 3 way components. I have an amp powering them. You can also get a JL Audio 10W6V2 in a JL Box and have it powered by an amp. I'd say you can do it for 2K. Good luck.

2k is a good budget, if you're not looking for the extra wow factor and making everything look real nice and presentable. Especially if you can do things yourself. Do you have ML? I'm pretty sure ML has a few more speakers than non ML, so if you're trying to replace every speaker, it might be a bit more work/money. But if you're just looking to put in a nice mids/tweeters, then it's probably much easier that way.

I have a 2011 is350 AWD, on paper it says premium audio system..(a nice way of saying basic lol)

I want to change all of the speakers inside the car, prob don't even want to sub, I just don't like all that loud pounding.. Guess it's kind of played out for me

All you'll need to change it the fronts. I added a center channel like the ML, but the rear is just for fill and the speakers in the rear will be fine. I was thinking of changing the rear but was gonna wait till I heard the fronts first. I was so happy with upgrading the 7 fronts with amps that I didn't even need to replace the rears.

I'd go with a small sub if you can. Sub-less systems don't sound so great IMO, because the midwoofers can't produce the low frequencies that subwoofers can. Hearing a midwoofer try to take on bass is IMO one of the most depressing things in audio. Even a small sub can do wonders for your system; it doesn't have to be a neighborhood-busting 19" sub to make a difference.

Just giving general audio advice...I haven't messed with the 2IS system thus far, so I don't really know specifics on speakers and whatnot...

get a good 8" sub or the 4080 sub enclosure for most room.
