So I'm planning to get a few quotes from different body shops and I was just wondering if CL could give me their estimate so I know what ball park I am in terms of damage and cost. It would be great if you guys could give me your honest opinion in what the cheapest route is (like ordering parts myself through sewell and such) and then taking it to a body shop to save on cost or something.
EDIT: Does anyone know if I will need a new grill if I get a 06-08 bumper? I currently have an 09.
Here are the pics:
The gap between the hood and both fenders are uneven, the passenger side is a lot wider than the driver's side as well as it being a little elevated on the passenger side. The grill and grill frame thing is not damaged at all so no need for replacement.

I guess 800-1000 to fix and repaint the hood alone. New front bumper from Sewell is 500-600. If the fender above the headlight needs repaited/touched up then your getting over $2,000 for everything. Plus a possible new headlight.
I'm not a body shop expert but I've had to fix multiple cars over the years.

That's why I'm trying to source out parts myself instead of ordering everything from the bodyshop. But it's hard to find parts used and sewell isn't much cheaper after shipping.

Yeah I rear ended someone and their tow hook stabbed my front bumper.

I ended up paying for the other party out of my own pocket, it's been almost 6 months since the incident and I haven't reported it to my insurance company. I'd rather just fix it myself since my insurance will for sure sky rocket after.

Yeah it sucks fml
Does anyone know of someone that might be able help me out a bit? I really want to get this fixed but 2-3k for a full time student is almost impossible since I already owe tuition money and living expensives Ideally I'd want to pay no more than 1500-1800, but that's just wishful thinking. I'm hating myself for causing this accident and obviously paying the price for it badly.
As for sewell and ordering parts myself, I found a headlight on ebay for 200 shipped which saves me a hundred dollars from Sewell. That plus an OEM bumper painted for 600 shipped from Sewell adds up to about 800-900 dollars for the bumper and headlight. Re-aligning fenders and fixing the hood is the problem on top of labor fees which are going to be possibly the most costly.
I know a good body shop with pretty good prices. You could have them order parts from sew ell, ebay, etc. Pm me and I'll send the info. Good luck, I still have to replace my front bumper after an accident

PM'ed!

Dont forget the headlights on our cars (09) move around....not sure if it's the same for $200....For some reason I thought it would be about 1k to replace.

For 06-10 there were only 2 choices, HID w/ AFS, or Halogen
Long as the headlight housing is for HID it has the AFS motor in it.
OP, that means you can re-use your current HID bulbs/ballasts that are in your car. Just replace the housing - no need to buy a whole new set
