Default "W" Style Spoiler On Ebay..

Hey guys I found this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-11...Q5fAccessories

On Ebay this evening.. didn't know if anyone has ever had experienced with these knock offs now that they seem to be on Ebay.

For the priced compared to the authentic Wald spoiler you can't beat it, I just wonder if the hardware and installation is the same. It appears that this is installed with double sided tape (included) and silicone (not included).

Anyone ever purchased these before? If so how was the fitment? Any pics? Is there anything distinctive to this that screams replica versus the authentic Wald style spoiler? Figured I'd bring this to the attention to anyone looking for a wald spoiler.. I know Ive been eyeballin the authentic one but just came across this. Has me thinking..

Yeah, I'm not liking the HOLE for the emblem to show through. Typically there's just a sort of recessed area for you to adhere the emblem onto the spoiler. As it is, it looks like a deep and cavernous cave! Ok, not really, but it doesn't look great in my opinion.

Ah I see, you are correct.. the WALD authentic actually doesn't have this HOLE where the emblem sits, instead there is NO hole and the emblem sits inside.

That answers one of my questions, I'm curious what type of install the authentic one versus this one differs from. Also the silicone part is what im a bit confused about, does it just go all on the bottom of this spoiler and lay on the trunk? Interesting stuff...

Yeah, that, plus the quality looks questionable. They don't provide any large or closer pictures to be able to judge fitment etc.

If you're gonna go replica, this might be a better choice:
Painted Wald-Style from eBay

It at least looks to be a better imitation (unless the pictures posted aren't of their product!)

BaysonR is pretty popular from the Evo forums. A lot of people have bought lips and replica bumpers from him and had great experiences. I can't say so myself but there is a bunch of people on that forum who recommend his products. The emblem hole is killing the look for that though.

Good call on the painted wald rep, altho i only like them if theyre molded... and i dont feel the price is worth it to get that done. :/

I should never buy new, and just buy someone's already modded car from now on, I never let myself upgrade how i'd like to. haha
