Default Side mirrors fog up often

I noticed that the side mirrors fog up in the morning. Not the coldest mornings in San Diego, maybe 40 degrees...But the side mirrors keep fogging up. I don't remember this happening in any of my cars before. Anyways, I applied a little Rain X (original) to the mirrors and that seemed to help. Anyone else have this issue? What have you done to prevent this??

I haven't had this problem very often, have you tried hitting the defroster button? The heated mirrors should fix the fogging in less than a minute.

I didn't realize that the mirrors had defrosters...Which button?? Is it standard or part of a package?

The defroster button on the dash. You hitt it twice I think and it heats up the mirrors.
Finally you get to use for stuff you paid for.

You don't have to hit it twice, the defroster automatically turns on the rear window defroster and mirrors with one press.

lol you only have to hit it once. hit the button and it defrosts the rear and side mirrors at the same time.

Yeah, you hit it one time and it defrosts both. Unfortunately, it also causes damage to my rear window tint. I wish you could defrost the mirrors and rear window separately.

By the way, why does the side mirror look like it has a lot of water spots? Both of my side mirrors look crappy and I've tried to remove those water spots with a lot of chemicals and nothing has worked. Let me know if you guys have solutions for that!
