Default New Car Battery Replacement..

I believe I need to replace my battery, its the original one when I first bought it brand new in 06 for the 07 year. Anyways should I get it from Lexus or any store thats around my house? Also does the extended warranty (for people just have purchased them) cover a battery?

You'll pay an arm and a leg at the dealer, both for the battery and for installation. Take it to Sears and get a Die Hard gold or platinum battery. Extended warranties usually specifically exclude batteries and tires (as does the original manufacturers warranty).

ya thats what I thought, that a battery would basically fall under "normal wear n tear", I just ask because we also own a 07 acura TL and her battery was failing and acura swapped it out no cost to me at all! They stated that it still fell under manufactures warranty...I was shocked.

Lexus factory warranty does cover the battery, however, it is on a prorated basis.

I bought a Stinger battery from my audio shop. I believe it's made by Odyssey.

If the battery's not covered, just go out and buy one on your own. Believe it or not, the Kirkland battery at Costco and Walmart batteries come highly rated. I believe the Walmart battery is made by the same company that makes Interstate Batteries.

I am actually going through the same exact thing. Except my car is an 08 and my battery is leaking acid. I called Lexus Roadside assistance and they just jumped my car, wouldnt change the battery because if its under warranty, I would have to take to the dealership.

I just got an Odyssey two days ago. What a world of difference. Should have dumped the factory panasonic battery when I got the car.

Just got a new battery from the dealer today under warranty (new car 4 yr 50K miles). My car is 3 years 11 months and 28 days old (made the warranty within 3 days). It failed the load test. The car/battery was running fine but the battery charge indicator was showing white ring. Glad I had it checked. The replacement was Interstate 24GR 84 months battery.

Is the lexus battery 4 yr/50k miles or 84 months?
