Rubbers that level hood

I was changing my park lights today to velds and I have no idea why but I took out those two rubbers that level the hood. Now I can't get them to go back in. Anyone done this before? Please help!

Yeah I remember twisting them out. Guess I didn't push them back in hard enough.
