veilside hood help

Default veilside hood help

my veilside hood came in last week. the hood did not come with a new strikers to latch the hood.
the factory one in welded on.
anyone know what im talking about?
did your hood come with a new one?
not the opener but the u shaped latching hook.

I don't recall what mine came with, but can certainly take pics of it once I get home for you (or I'm certain you can find some with the hood open in my gallery). I can also look at my OEM hood in my basement to see what's left on there if I can get to it.

Default Yup.....

You're supposed to have one....call Veilside and tell them that you have a manufacturer defect. That U-shape hook is the only thing that keeps the hood down until you pull the hood latch. Let us know how it works out....

just got off the phone with veilside.
he said it would take a month to get one in. none of the hoods in the warehouse had them also.
spend all this money for the hood and they forget a $10.

A month to get them in and none of the hoods had any of the hooks? Send it back and get the Kansai hood from Carson's it's in stock. Sorry that you have to go thru this.....

have u seen the TOM'S hood? May not dissipate heat as much, but more subtle... just my 2 cents.
