So lately I've been noticing that the subwoofer located in the very back, will randomly crackle sometimes...
Any ideas as to what this is?
It's not blown, I know that much
One guy said that the amp is putting too much power to the sub
Thoughts?

get some dynomat. will help. mine did the same thing but after dynomatting the trunk all is well now
1. Im a DJ, so all my music is 320kbps and above
2. How would dynomatting help? It's the subwoofer itself that crackles
3. It's no longer under warranty

^ You sure it's not blown, or partially blown? Happens all the time with the ML sub. Maybe rip it out and go aftermarket?

I thought it was just me, I have the same problem. I can't always replicate the problem so I haven't brought it to dealership yet.

That's how mine sounded when I blew it.
Do any of you guys have any ideas on how to replace it out of warranty? Aftermarket? Mine blew AGAIN recently and I'm out of warranty now...

If you're out of warranty I would just go aftermarket. Read this: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...nclosures.html
I am no longer under warranty. And it's NOT blown, I've had my audio engineer friends evaluate it.
If it's blown it will ALWAYS be distorted. Mine is just occasionally, thus it is the amp that is being weird
Sending too much power to the subwoofer at times

Mine crackled occasionally crackled 3 different times. Dealership declared it blown, and replaced it. I'm going to have it disconnected and have a tiny setup added by Tommy @ Musicbox. If you're in socal, he's highly recommended.
Ya im assuming the repair on the sub would cost a grip, so I want to replace the ML subwoofer with an aftermarket. Im def interested, and in socal

If it tore the cone, you can use a glue gun to bond it back together. Supposedly works very well.
