Default Does your windshield make a whistling noise?

Recently, my (OEM) windshield was hit by a rock and cracked. I had it replaced by SafeLite, and to say the least, their workmanship is very poor.

Daily, I drive 40 miles to work, having to cross a 10 mile bridge (San Mateo) and when I get up to 70-80 mph, there is whistling noise coming from the windshield.

The first time they replaced my glass, the whistling was extremely obvious. Even the deaf can hear it. I went back for a resealing and this time the whistling has gone down, but still obvious. This third attempt, the high pitched whistling has gone down drastically but what's left is a lowered pitch, so you can still hear it a bit.

Note, my so claimed air leaks only happen when going 75-80 mph on the bridge (most times). On most regular freeways, it's not as noticeable.

Is it normal to hear this? o.O

I use to work for Safelite a loooong time ago..needless to say they are notorious for installing leaky w/s. I could almost guarantee you have a small leak. YIKES!! You need to have them take it out and redo it especially if they have already resealed it a few times. (You don't want water to get in there and really screw up your car) I have never heard whistling in my w/s and I drive 80mph all the way to work (40 miles) Good luck to you!
