Default Lots of noise in car post windshield replacement

We had a large crack a month after purchasing. We took this opportunity to replace with a lexus windshield (used car had an after-market windshield as dealer had replaced due to a crack).

Now there is more noise from outside in the car There also seems to be a gap between the windshield. How would they fix this? Merchant not very responsive so I am trying to educate myself.

My experience - the noise level before and after windshield replacement are never the same and always louder after. Something about the seals not being factory tight. i think perhaps another forum member with more experience can chime in. Around 2006, My 01 RX had a non OEM replacement. I could hear more noise in general but never could pinpoint where it was coming from. But I saved more than $600.

Thanks for responding.
I didn't save anything as I paid top $ for the lexus glass but it makes sense that I will not get factory-like seal just didn't expect it to be this bad.

You may go to another glass place and ask for the cost to reinstall the windshield properly and/or check if any of the seals can be redone.

I had my windshield replaced with an aftermarket one because that is all insurance would cover and I have no noise issues.

Thanks - that's what I will have to do.
