Default HID vertical aim problem

I installed Garax 6000K to replace my stock HID. The new HID moves up and down as expected when turned on.

But the AIM of the new HID was too high, so I try using the "Headlight Aiming Adjustmet" to low the HID by using the philip screw driver but no matter how much I turned it clock wise/counter clock wise it does not move up or down at all on either the driver or passenger side.

Anyone have suggestion why this is happening?

Care to explain in detail? Not really understanding what you're talking about.

Are you adjusting the correct mechanism? Hopefully you're adjusting the one with the circular **** with the gears, if you use a 8mm box wrench, its the right part.

When you turn on the car.. it does it inital check by moving the HID up and down.

i found out when adjusting mine, it takes ALOT of turns to get them right if they are misaligned.

Well passenger side is a little higher than the driver side (is this by designed?).. but overall it's a little high.

Don't forget there's two screws for each headlight and you're supposed to adjust both when you adjust the light.

Much easier if you want to simply raise the lights a bit is to adjust the rear AFS sensor arm though.

The Lexus manual has diagram of 2 wheel devices to adjust each headlight.. but I can only find 1.. and all the Lexus pictures in this forum.. there seems to be only 1.. I am confused by this.. anyone got REAL pictures showing both wheel devices?

the other day my headlight aim was perfect, now today i notice going up my parking strcutre that my driver side is aim noticeably higher.

ANyone know how I can fix it?

I have OEM factory HIDs, and not a Plug and play kit.

When AFS aligns the headlights, wouldn't it undo the manual adjustment of turning the screws. I assume you have to turn off the AFS to use your manual adjusted heights.

mine are a lil messed up too but they aim too low, but i have springs so the front sits lower than the rear, to my understanding just adjust the AFS sensor, search it, there is a great DIY around here somewhere.

Nope. AFS adjusts based on height/angle starting with the base, manual, setting... it doesn't undo manual setting changes.

Is there any advantage of doing one method over the other? Aside from ease.
