Default auto acceleration??

So this has been happening for the past couple days
i recently just had the Fsport exhaust put on from the dealership
and for some odd reason when ever i m at a red light full stopd foot down on the break
the car revs it self ....like the rpm goes up and all
is this normal or a recall issue?

I was waiting for the punchline.....

If your idle is wandering while at a stop, it is not normal.

I notice the same thing too. Well, my car is a 2010 and it only happened in the first few months I had it.

Now it rarely happens. I just make sure I warm the car up enough before driving off. That seems to work.

Driving it off IS the proper way to warm it up- idling is bad for engines

So how much time do you give it before driving the car off? I
usually wait until at least the rpm stabilizes after a cold start.

Start car

Put on seatbelt

Go

Anything more is pointless idling that's bad for the engine

Keep it under 3k rpm or so till the temp gauge moves up but driving it is the best way to get it there

^^ Agreed. If it's snowing and in the dead of winter, give the engine a bit to warm up. I destroyed a block on a Mazda6 by being a bit too impatient on a day that it was -30*C outside and speeding out. Knocking happened. Selling happened. IS happened

But for the most part, you don't need to sit there and dilly dally until the temp gauge warms. Just don't give it a boot full until it's warmed up.

Weird about your revs though, what did the dealer say?

i believe the proper way to warm up your car to to start it and idle for an for a minute and drive under 2500rpm until the engine warms up

I usually let my car sit for about 30 seconds to a minute and drive it like a grandma till temp's get it and punch it. You can generally feel if the car is warmed up or not.

If you're not touching the pedal yourself, you should probably take it in. There's no reason for your revs to skyrocket unless you're brake torquing or something.
