Auto-tilt, auto-dim side mirrors only come on the sport or luxury package. Not aware of anyone who has swapped em on to a car that didn't come with em... not sure if it'd require anything different as far as the body ECU since there's a motor to control and all.

I don't think you'll notice the "dimming" even if you have it installed. To me, I feel like it's not even working, except on those rare occasions.

it works dude and you can tell the difference. my sister has a GX470 and it has auto dim side mirrors and it feels much more comfortable on the high way.

I've been wondering about this as well. I have a 06 with the Lux. package and the outside mirror do not seem to dim like I am use to on my Audi (inside color would be the exactly the same color as outside).
Are the exterior mirrors just much slower to react?

I didn't even know I had it until I looked in the mirror and thought that my friend who tinted my windows also tinted the mirrors. There's an obvious ring around the edge where the untinted part is. Later it went away and that's when I realized what actually happened. *shrugs*

Hoping you will be able to find a way to get it. Somehow.
