Correct me if I'm wrong, but the DICE unit doesn't play video while the Vaistech can play audio and video.

You are correct supaIS350!

SL2i-UP gives you audio integration only for $199.99.

SL2Vi give you audio+video integration for $349.99 ($419.99 for vehicles equipped with factory DVD).

Yes this is correct. I don't know about you but I usually am driving by myself, so I would probably never use this ability. Cool to show people, but probably 5-10 minutes every year. Why pay more for something I'll never use?

Just depends what you really need/require. If you require video, then go VAISTech, if you don't go Grom or DICE.

You press the CD button and it goes into CD changer emulation mode. If you press it again you can select from the 6 CDs/DVDs in your changer.

Thanks bro, someone finally answered it haha. So it acts the same as DICE in emulation mode.

If you are talking about 6th Gen navigation system installed on 2010+ models, then you need to use VML-L2 which doesn't have the auto select feature.
