2010 Ipod Integration

Does anyone know how the Ipod integration works in the new 2010 GX460? Does the Ipod port allow functionality control of the Ipod from the NAV screen?

Yes, you can control the iPod from the NAV screen and from the steering wheel.

I find it painfully slow to navigate my ipod with it, to the point where i just use a aux audio cable instead of usb. Is there anyway to speed things up?
