Do you know of JLC has any lumen ratings on their LEDs? I couldn't find any on their website. Maybe you can post some pictures of the output against a white wall when you have a chance.

Unfortunately, the trunk light I'm using has been discontinued, so I'm now recommending the following one from JLC: http://www.jlclightings.com/Xenon-Wh...-p/sku_096.htm

The 2IS trunk light is unique in that it has a rare festoon size (~27mm compared to the 29mm and 31mm standard versions) and it's angled. As a result, it's better to use an LED board so that the light shoots straight down. It will still required some slight modifications to the festoon adapter in most cases, again due to the odd size.

The good news is that LEDs don't really exhibit fading over time so you don't have to worry much about replacing LEDs at different times (like you would with HID bulbs).

Which parking light did you go with? Make sure you just ship via USPS not not FedEx or UPS. Should be maybe $0.50.

Those look like they'll give you a concentrated beam of light. They'll look bright, but might not spread enough light to cover the field of view for your backup cam. For that reason, I still recommend the ones Joeb427 just referenced (and the ones in my guide): http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...-p7526829.html (6000K variant)
I second those (or fourth, fifth.. whatever). I have the 5k ones.

I tried asking JLC about that but I have not heard back about the brightness. I will try to get pictures when I'm back up north with a tripod so I don't have to use flash on my camera.

I had the same problem, and it would blow fuses. It ended up being the resistor inside the led being broken. I just threw them away and ordered a new set. LOL

Just replace the front dome lights (VLEDs in 5K) from the suggested leds on page 1. They are super bright, especially with all three of the lights on.

What do you recommend for something that is much more dim and toned down. It's so bright, my eyes hurt when I get in.

Thanks.

I wanted white and not too bright so I went with these even though a 360 design only one front firing LED.

I had these in first but liked the one above more.

The first bulbs are high power and the second aren't.So even the one firing LED was brighter.

They should work but I don't know about a single LED.
A 360 bulb won't be as bright as if the enclosed assembly had a reflective shiny interior but the side lights do give off some light.

If anyone used the single LED or have pics...let me know how they are. Thanks. Would like to get the lumens similar to factory OEM filament but just switch over to LEDs.

That's what I have without the ugly yellow. The '10+ IS only have two front dome bulbs. You have 3.

The only problem I had with radially firing LEDs in the front dome is that it would cause shadows and weird reflections to show up on the dome light lens. Did you have that problem at all? The single, downward firing LED looked cleaner to me.

That's what I recommend given what you've told me.
