We have an '06 ISswo AWD without nav. Until recently, when you shut the car off with the air/heat system on it is automatically on when you re-start the car.
Lately it doesn't automatically start up. Instead the button that says "Front" on it (for the defrost) blinks yellow 4 or 5 times and then nothing happens unless you hit "Auto" to turn everything on.
This isn't a huge problem obviously, but strange that it's started happening. The other oddity is the cigarette lighter next to the ashtray no longer works either.
Is this possibly a fuse issue?

Also have noticed that if the car is off for only an hour, the climate control is on immediately, but not if the car's been off for over 2 hrs.

for the cigarette lighter... might wanna check the fuses... sometimes it trips...

For the A/C light blinking, check the owners manual.

I read if you are trying to turn the AC on and the light blinks multiple times that there is a fault with the A/C system. That is probably why it is not automatically turning itself back on when you start-up, and why it blinks when you turn it on.
