Default Is 350 awd

I went to my Lexus dealership and helping one of my friend to do a test drive. We made the comment one of the biggest shortcoming of the IS was the lack of a IS 350 AWD or IS-F AWD, that's why he would prefer the 335 XI coupe instead.

But one sale person made the comment that 350 AWD was coming in the fall. Does this sale person know something or is it just BS ?

God I wish they had a 350 with AWD, the winters here are brutal.

The IS350 handles like a champ with dedicated snow tires + snow mode.

At a recent LF-A event, I was told that the IS350 was coming out this fall too.

I told them that they were about 4 yrs too late in my case.

So I would believe it.

^^ Same here. Got my IS primarily for the AWD. But if an IS350 AWD comes around, I would really consider...

This was reported to us by S2000toIS350 as he is going to buy a LFA. He said that is what Lexus told him, this fall IS 350 AWD.

I have my doubts this will take place. It is EXTREMELY rare for a car maker to add such a major option to a model that only has one year left. The costs for that is not justifiable. The 2IS is pretty much a lame duck and done at this point. The 3IS is overdue and should get all the improvements (AWD) to make it attractive. If true, this is a waste of resources and should have been added three years ago.
