Default quick bulb Q

so I went ahead and ordered my HID kit for my IS250, getting the 6K kit from kbcarstuff.com and I also ordered the 2 HID 5K WHITE SMT 5 LED LIGHT BULBS 194 from VLEDS.com. I just wanted to make sure that this is the bulb im replacing for the DRL's??? When I go to install all the new bulbs I want to take care of it all @ once, so I dont have to take everything apart multiple times!!

Thanks

ps does anyone else recommend any other bulb changes regarding the headlight housing?????

the 5smt 194's replace your parking lite bulb not your DRL, DRL = 9005 fitment. BUT dont cancel the 194's, they will look fantastic.

Plenty of good spots for 194s. Get the clear lenses for the courtesy lights and put some there. Or replace the puddle lights. LEDs look great on the IS.

the 194 bulbs will be good for replacing the parking lights, the tiny bulb next to the DRL/high beam.

The DRL/high beam is 9005. btw DRL is just the high beam running at 50% power, they're the same bulb. A look at the first two pages of the 2IS forum show the following two threads on DRL and should help answer your questions.

and regarding the two LEDs in your link, i don't have experience with the 2nd one, but looks like it's forward firing, and i don't think it'd look good or work well in our reflector. IMO you want something that fires 360 degrees, like the 1st one you posted, but you might wanna read thru the second thread i mentioned above to see what's involved with the installation and if it's something you don't mind doing.
