I just got a speeding ticket on my way up to berkeley by some pig named martin. he also marked me down for not having my license plate...what a douche! i was wondering if its possible and effective if i use 3m tape to have it secure and in place to show the officer so he can sign off the fix it ticket. after that i plan on instantly removing my front license plate again. please help me out fellas thanks in advance!

 

Just zip tie it to your bottom mesh and tape the bottom part of the license plate so if it taps, it doesn't damage your paint and cut the zip tie after you get it signed off....that's what I did.

not getting pulled over for speeding would have been the easiest way to avoid getting cited for no front plate, but hindsight is 20/20, isn't it?

 

i can understand your frustration but i believe you are in the wrong and should not be take out your anger on the police

but yes, my friends got away with having their front plate zip tied to their bumper

 

calling him a douche for marking you down for not having a front plate is a bit much. i mean it kind of is against the law. i'm sure if he didn't pull you over for speeding you wouldn't have gotten the front plate

 

just ziptie it on the lower bumper mesh, get it signed and move on in life. some cops are really stingy (aka your douche), but i find it pathetic that they have to resort to writing tickets for no front plate. a law's a law, but its a BS law to begin with. i got written for the same thing, except the cop nabbed me when my car was parked on a street outside my gf's house. live, learn, and move on my friend!

 

Wait, a cop wrote you a ticket for a missing front plate while you were PARKED? And that's all you got written up for? Now he's a douche.

 

Some cops actually require you to bolt in the license plate her in the bay area..

 

yup. i was shocked. my lone mistake was parking on the street. it was right outside my girl's room, so i had full view of my car at all times. i go to the kitchen to make her lunch for her and her kid cousin, and the kid goes "theres somebody touching your car". i ran like crazy thinking it was some punk kid who wanted to trash my ride, but nope- it was a member of alhambra pd. probably just got his daily fix of donuts and wanted to feel productive for the day. sad, i think...
