Default How to remove rear dome light??

hey im interested in figuring out how to remove the dome light to get access to remove my antenna for a better vinyl job on my roof. Any info???

well to remove the cover, take a small flat head and pry the cover off, from the back side, closest to the window, and im pretty sure there is a screw when you take the cover off

Thanks. You are referring to the cover correct not the individual light?

Is it a clip or how do i unattach it?

just the cover, no clip it is just popped in, but use a tiny flathead and be careful not to dent the side of the cover.

hmmmmm, just tried that using a microfiber to make sure and it seems like its on there very tight. I dont want to pull hard but what year is your IS??

I didnt know if it does.

I have tried a couple times and it seems like its pretty tight in there, i dont know if theres a special way to remove it. Is it supposed to be hard to get off?

ya so it doesnt just fall out, u gotta use a TINY flat head and push it up in between the cover and the grey plastic, then pry off

okay, haha dumb question but is it possible to break it, or not being able to put it back into place?

is there 2 things holding it in?

i pulled pretty hard, but it kinda just pops out, and in, unless you split the thing in half, see if u can pop it out on the other side
