Default Pipe Bomb for TPMs question

Well my tpms are not compatible with my new wheels so I made a the "pipe bomb" thing until I get some adapters.

Has anyone ever had the thing explode or blow off and end cap.

Just wondering???

I don't think it'll blow up or explode (just air inside), more like leak out air due to the poor seals...

Nope, mine is fine and I don't think I'll have any problems. I make sure I don't drop it so it doesn't crack lol. Just make sure you put enough cement on the seals.

I havent made this but i think I've seen it before. Small section of pvc pipe with the pressure sensors in it, right? I have potato guns made out of PVC and as long as you primer and cement (technically its solvent welding) them properly it will hold up to atleast 150 PSI. I shoot mine at like 100 PSI. PVC's pressure rating ranges from like 300-400 if i remember correctly (thats SCH 40 pvc btw, 80 is higher). Just make sure the the pipe has a rating on it when you buy it.

Make sure you let the cement dry before you pressurize it. I did not do this and blew off the cap right into my garage door.

I'd use nitrogen so that during summer and winter months it won't expand and contract too much.

What B16da9 said,
I let my cement dry over night just to be safe.
Had mine for over 2 years and they look/work great.

My TPMS Pipe Bomb was good for the first year but lately its been having temp/pressure problems do to the ever changing weather and the fact that I live on the top of a hill. I just changed mine over to zipties and haven't had any problems.
