Wait for the "December to remember" event each year around christmas. I believe they start to advertise after Thanksgiving. Best discount you can get during the year....BTW get her to buy a GS...she will have more fun.!

Lexus was having something called the golden opportunity before for 0.9% apr for qualified buyers. If you got good credit that is... Don't know if they are still doing it, best place for you to start is by calling your dealer now.

Credit is not an issue and time is on our side. If the best deals are in Dec I will wait. I don't want to mess around if I know it will be cheaper in a few months. If we are talking about a $500 difference I would buy it now and be done. If I can save my mom 3-4k by waiting we will.
Thanks

The time is now. Once the '10's arrive, they start dumping the '09's. I believe the facelifted 2010 ES is going on sale this week at dealerships. If you wait until December, the '09 selection could be next to nothing. I'd say the sweet spot would be now until the end of October for price and selection. Of course with the internet, you can email any dealer for a last-minute search.

As previously mentioned when Christmas rolls around Lexus has the 'December to Remember' event which is basically their clearout sale... best time to be buying a Lexus imho...

waiting for that event isnt going to matter. lexus doesnt send a memo to all the dealers and say okay now you can start discounting the cars. the dealers can do whatever the hell they want. if you can negotiate you will get just as good of a price now. only difference is if they have some sort of financing promotion or soemthing.

If you wait until December I can almost assure you that all you will find will be 2010 models. What 2009s you will find will be few and far between, so if you're looking for any specific options, start looking now. Generally as soon as the new MYs start rolling in the current MYs start dropping fairly quickly.
When we bought my g/f's 2008 IS350 in late October 2007, the dealer had 3 '07s left on their lot.
Remember, you can ALWAYS get a deal if you know how to shop regardless of the month.
