i am trying to find something that always happens when the car is locked and unlocked from the outside using either the button on the door handle or the fob button.

i need this to make a custom relay circuit to autofold the mirrors once car has been locked. the only thing at the moment i can think of that happens is when its locked the indicators blink certain times and when unlocked they blink a different number. i need to try and tap into something so that i can send a relay signal

any ideas?

 

I don't think the mirrors have a motor to fold them. Unless you have a non-North American model?

 

yes i am in UK so have the european model which does have folding motor
