I was looking for a "change" on my tail lights, I was looking at the ebay ones but they are low quality I didnt think it was worth to pay $400dls for the ISF ones, I actually like the 06-08 tail lights with red-outs better. So thanks to "Robs IS250" who gave me the part numbers I order this:



09+ trunk tail lights!!!!!!!! I'm gonna try to install the 09+trunk tail lights with the 06-08 rear fender tail lights, so is not gonna be a complete 09 tail light conversion.


At first didnt like this tail lights but they really grow on me. The original 06-08 trunk lights only has 2 leds, the 09+ has 6 leds!! This picture from swell is the one who got me to buy the tail lights


I thought it was going to be a direct fit but is not the back of the tail lights are different:

The one on the left is the 09+ The one on the right is the 06-08

To make them fit you need to cut/bend this little part:


The second thing is that the harness/connectors are different also

I didn't finish the install because of the connectors. I will update this thread once I find a solution or until I can get a hold of the 09+ connector. I will post more pics also!!! With the final result

i was actually thinking about this the other day.. then i thought.. do they plug and play... guess not lol way to be the test subject! hope it works out! looks good actually. but doesn't khanvict have the 09 tail conversion to? is it a different connector completely? do you have to cut wires?

Even if you get them to fit & wire them up, with the new 09+ harness / connectors..

The New 09' Trunk lights will never sit flush with the older outer 06'-08' Tail lights...

Basically, since they bulge outward, it will NOT line up or sit flush..
You would need to do the Full Swap for sure...

You got the Nike tails: "Just do it" - hey, if it floats your boat go with it!

One thing though, you will need to order the remaining part of the tail... they just don't go together right. As was mentioned, the new 09's buldge a bit more.
