I replaced my windshield molding last night. It's definitely an easy DIY (so do NOT pay your dealership $100 in labor for the 10 minutes it takes to do this). It took me about 30 minutes but only because I spent a lot of time cleaning the area behind the trim (there were leaf particles and lots of gunk).
To remove the trim just use your fingers and pull up slowly but firmly from the top going down. The clips will break free one by one. At the bottom there are two clips that also break free. To install the trim just pop the bottom part in first and then work your way up, making sure the clips seat correctly. I would also put some trim protectant on everything to hopefully prevent this from happening again.
I'm ordering from Sewell. I need clarification as to how many of the 75545-53010 clips I need? mISteRED said 5, but is that 5 on each side or total? Thanks.

There are 5 on each side. Just make sure Sewell isn't selling them in pairs or something.
It appears when these were first installed Lexus used a glue under the seal... Should I use glue?
I didn't see anyone say anything about laying down glue and then the weather stripping.
^Must be what it is I'm seeing. Gunk/ residue from the windshield being laid down.
Did anyone notice a difference in sound in the cabin after applying the new windshield stripping?

I didn't apply glue or anything and I don't notice any cabin noise after replacing the molds. However, my windshield was replaced before I bought the car so I don't know if they removed the old glue or what. Only thing I saw was dirt and leaves etc. I just cleaned that off before putting in the new ones.
