Default ML CD/DVD changer broken non-responsive jammed - HELP

So my Mark Levinson CD DVD changer is completely unresponsive. All other functions work fine. AM/FM and AUX inputs. When I try to cycle to the CD/DVD mode, it just acts as if nothing is there.

The day prior, I heard the changer cycling through the discs for quite some time, and it eventually began reading a cd. The cd played the next car ride and then it stopped working.

Most of my discs are CDR's but some are DVD-A and some are store bought CDs.

And wouldn't you know it my warranty expired a 1000 miles ago........

Does anyone know is there a way I can manually eject the cds in the changer in hopes to get it working again?

I get no error messages like some do, and I've tried to pry the slot open with hopes of ejecting something, but didn't help any.

Any tips are appreciated....

You have to take it out and manually unload it. It's a PITA. Any non-OEM labels on the burned CDs? The changer hates CDs any thicker than store bought.

No labels on any of the burned cds. They are a pretty decent brand too. I think they memorex higher quality ones.

Out of the blue the changer began working again. THANK GOODNESS.....

I saw a replacement ML cd changer on ebay and he wanted $800.......

Might be time to just pick up a vais....

If the CDs get stuck in there again, try pushing a CD 1/2 way into the loading slot and holding it. Then press <eject> - this got a jammed CD out for me.

I should update.... My change is broken now.... stopped cycling, stopped playing, stopped ejecting etc.. completely non responsive now. I think its done for... Everything else works though. How convenient that I no longer have a warranty.

No, 06tpis350 offered thanks, but the original poster was tcho82, who at last post reported that his unit is completely non-responsive.

While that's true, he last reported it in late 2009

I'd hope he's fixed it in the intervening nearly 2 years
