I eventually replaced the unit. It was broken.

Some Lexus dealers will do core swaps.

 

can you try to take the car back to the dealer where you bought your car, maybe they'll fix it out of good will? tell them you just passed the warranty period last month

 

Used to happen to me all the time... If you get a flashlight and switch to cd mode you can hear it trying to cycle but theres like a jammed noise. I just stuck a thin knife in there and pushed the "top" cd down then it ejected. I ejected all disc and then it stopped for awhile. It still happens here and there but with my Ipod I dont need the CD player anymore so I just did the stick the knife into my cd player trick I did and emptied the trays. Sounds retarded but I did it with alot of care and none of the components the inside components were damaged.

 

mine is stuck im going nuts anyway to get it out the door where the cd goes in is shut

 

Sorry to bring up an ancient thread but my CDs are jammed. But who listens to cds anymore? I do since no Bluetooth.

I did the hit side of side while holding down the eject button trick. All my cds finally ejected with one stuck. But the CD player can't see it. I'm sure there's one stuck inside. Its slot 5. When I reinsert my cds and it goes to slot 5, it tries to load but gets jammed, skips slot 5 and loads slot 6. I'm about to take it apart. Any suggestions??
