do a search there are a few of topics that explain it but its very easy pull apart and use a flat head to break the to apart. Also your owners manuel will show you.

Just search the forums. It's really easy to do if you follow the directions.

take the key out, use the flat part on the end of your key. there should be a slot just perfect for it on the corner, apply a little force and it'll pop right out.

Unless you got your car used, there's no need to worry about the battery until at least a year from now. Mine is approaching 3 years in December and it's still going okay.

1. remove spare key
2. simply pull both halves away

My original fob battery died in 2.5 months, though its replacement lasted about 3 years. I think a few other people have had their factory fob batteries die quickly too.
